STOP PRESS:
Bill, Scott and Vinnie have now bought Topspeed Automotive, the car spares outlet in New Haw, Addlestone, and from 1st July 2009 will be trading once more, with a business that spans over 40 years.
Apologies again for not keeping up to date with all the latest news at BTK Racing, but its been a hectic few months for us with the up coming season . We booked a WRE test day at Santa Pod Raceway and were really excited to get the '69 back to the track.
We picked the car up from Jon's on a really sunny March morning, and being a true street car we opted to drive to thetrack but our joy soon turned sour when we cracked opened the sump on the 'scenic' country roads !! With super efficient work from Jonny Mac @ WRE, we were back at the track just after lunch... (Cheers Guys !!).

With everything checked we tried our 1st run but we were shut down after the burnout with an oil leak. This turned out to be a leaky oil seal on the oil filter. We later found out that Fram had a "bad" batch of seals and were apparantley recalled !. We had a few shake down passes and then before we could blink it was day over !!
Apart from the early mis-hap on the road, we were happy with our preparation for the Easter Thunderball.

We were kindly invited by Mark Ashman of NASC, to attend the film premier of the new FAST & FURIOUS Film. We set out on the lovely M25 for the premier but as you can see from the piccy we had to turn back, as it took us over 1 1/2 hours to complete just 2 junctions.

We didnt over-heat but I had to start thinking of other elements such as damaging the gearbox and convertor. Very dissapointed, but thanks again to Mark and the NASC.

Not much I'am afraid, to write about the Easter Thunderball but it much reminded me of our last outing in 2007 with loads of rain and a mis-fire.. Three runs in five days didn't give us much track time to sort out any problems, but we have now made progress from this !.

We have since taken "Big Yellow " into London for the excellent Krispy Kreme Donut Run, where it performed much better, obviously keeping it to the 70mph speed limit on the A3 !!
